While there was much discussion of the 5 day pass going away and it is not advertised as a choice for the premium buses, it can be used to ride any bus in the system according to both a phone call and an email confirmation. There is no upcharge if you start on a residential line and then move to the premium lines.
Also, they are dropping the ACE name and simply calling that bus the Gold Line. I can't figure out why, but as the bus system evolves into whatever it will be once all the lines are in and the new DTC opened, names and routes change as well.
This week the downtown stops for the Gold Line bus no longer are the same as the stops for the Deuce. I guess folks had been getting the two buses mixed up and boarding the Gold Line rather than the Deuce and then finding they could not get close to where they were going. Stops along the strip serve both buses, but the Gold Line will not pick up in front of Neonopolis, the most common place to meet buses in Downtown Vegas.

This is actually good news for those of us who pay attention to these details because that Neonopolis stop is generally pretty crowded with tourists riding the bus. They will have to be alert to the changes to find the new Gold Line pickups.
