  • Mgm detroit buffet ripoff (prices/comps)

If you make it to MGM Detroit someday, skip the buffet.
Mostly, because it's overpriced. Use your comps if needed,
but you get LESS benefits to eat off your points than if
you use those same points for POINT PLAY.
For some reason, they've decided that their food venues
are worth MORE in comp value.
If you thought Vegas buffets were getting overpriced, you
ain't seen nothing yet. MGM Detroit only charges
    $16 breakfast
    $18 lunch
    $28 dinner

    That's EACH !

I forgot to mention that MGM Detroit's running a promo til 6/30 where if you pay for the buffet with $5 in comps, you can have that dinner for $19 plus that $5 in comps.
Which means they're gonna knock off FOUR WHOLE DOLLARS>

Note: not good on Wed & Thur night dinners !!! Beats me as to why Wed & Thur nights
aren't included. Do Detroiters eat MORE on those days ??

In any case, those MGM promos suck--stay away. The one I like is they have a weekly/monthly promo going Sun TO Wed--then ya gotta go back certain hours on a Thur, earn A POINT, then swipe to validate your play. If you don't, you'vre played for nought.

High school kids could work promos better, but I think these are some a-hole adults running the place.

Every promo they put out needs an attorney to explain it.

I gotta write Jim Murren in LV & let him know what's goin on, but he's probably in cahoots.

That's classic MGM for you... Overpriced food, tight slots, and high table limits.
