Here is an interesting news article reflecting on Fremont East and its new development. While I do not look forward to perhaps being priced out of the El Cortez, it is delightful to see a new sort of community building in what just a short while ago was a haven for homeless.
I'll fly out tomorrow and may head down to the El Cortez for the Vegas StrEATS May 14th spectacular where I think I could try an "underdog." At some point in my travels I'll certainly be enjoying some of TheBeats cheap coffee and free wifi in an ambiance of the sounds of old vinyl.
