Coupon Trading Kill the Goose That Lays The Golden Egg
I've touched on this subject before, and it's getting to the point we're going to see such things as match play coupons go the way of the Carrier Pigeon.
Why? Multiple coupon use by a few abusers. It's always a few bad apples that spoil the barrel.
When someone uses the same coupon in the same casino repeatedly, the Casinos retaliate by dropping out of the program. Unfortunately they don't see that the value exceeds the loss. Their mind set is simply that they don't like to lose. Some would rather cut off their nose to spite their face.
In one case a certain individual repeatedly used a $25 dollar match play coupon at Planet Hollywood, he did net an advantage over the casino of over $700, until they found out. Now, go try and find a match play coupon for P HO.
Now, some might say, "That's Great" but it causes problems for the publisher, as well as getting the patron banned for life, and possibly blacklisted as a cheater. A Cheater you say? Well, as with card counting there's no law against it, but if you're caught counting, you are asked to leave for good, and they get a facial recognition profile on you and share it with other casinos.
So, where do these people get these multiple coupons? Well in some cases the trade each other on Las Vegas Web forums. But one thing you'll notice is that the these sites that promote coupon trading don't have a coupon book. They are like bottom feeding parasites that try to increase they're "Hits" by promoting coupon trading, and there are allot of them out there.
A few prime individuals are seen repeatedly on many sites, trading for match play coupons in particular, and these are the very offenders that are going to ruin it for the rest of us that use the coupons as they are meant to be used, as a promotion to generate new and repeat business, one coupon per user within a specific time period.
Some of the larger casinos install software programs that track usage via the player's club card, but many of the smaller casinos don't have the resources or the inclination to do this, as it takes added man hours at the player's club desk, and creates long lines that irritate folks.
So, what can be done? Not much. Personally I don't trade, and I urge the web master of the other sites to discontinue this practice, which usually ends up in me getting my wrist slapped.
I've attempted to post directly to these persons, only to receive an explosive and vial retaliation. They all say the same thing, the casinos put them out there and bla bla bla.
