Re: George Maloof: Little change expected at Palms

Is the $12 resort fee considered a change?
I did not see Maloof mention that.
It might be good if a bit more of Caesar's flavor rubbed off in the direction of resort fee strategy.

Someone noticed that the full pay Deuces were unplugged the other day. Maybe that was just for maintenance. Or might it be the beginning of downgrading?

I don't trust it when the press release is, "Relax, nothing will change."
Not even when it is Maloof.
Would they put out a press release that said, "Hey, we got the resort fee and soon we'll have the same crappy VP as most everyone else, but we still got celebrity draws and hype, so come on down"?

I don't know about you, but I don't give a flying squirrel about Shaquille O'Neal's retirement party. This is not the kind of thing I look for in Vegas.

Keep your eyes peeled on action rather than talk.

I'm even suspicious that the end of the 9/6 JOB at the Gold Coast bar was accomplished because someone had some inside info on what the competition intended to do to their full pay. Just a suspicion. Hopefully I am just imagining. Maybe I'm just having a down day.

      Tomorrow I'll try hope.
