  • Result of Flamingo Trip 9/26/11 - 9/30/11

Wife and I took quick trip to LV for our anniversary. Weather was great 100 degrees every day. Stayed at the Flamingo. Rooms were comped except for $40. Stayed in one of their regular rooms - tired but clean. No coffee maker in regular rooms. Wife took her own. Not alone saw coffee makers in hallway. Check in was no problem. Service to a person was friendly. Tables for craps and roullettte were $10 - some $5 during day. Went to all the other casinos but Stratosphere. Played at $10 tables at Venetian and Palazzo during the day. Tables were crowded and dealers even surprised that tables were $10 during day. Did see $5 tables at Bills, O'Shea's, Casino Royale, Usually stay at different hotel each trip but stayed at Flamingo again due to location, pools and total rewards deal. Visited Aria and Cosmopolitan and was impressed but did notice that none of their stores (Fendi, Versace, etc) had any customers - only employees playing on their IPhones. Went to Planet Hollywood's mall and it was packed with paying customers - all had bags in their hands. Can't see how the Aria and Cosmo mall will remain viable expecially in this economy.
