  • US Tax Refund fon Non-Resident for Jackpot Win

Finally hit a 'big' one last night at the Skagit Casino (in Washington State).

I won $3907.50 on a 100 Lions machine. After taxes (1172.35) was deducted, I collected $2735.25. It definately made my night!

Being Canadian, I have learned that I am elidgible to receive most, if not all the tax collect as a refund. In Canada, taxes are not paid on casino jackpot, lottery or any gaming wins.

Has anyone had any experience in this? There are a number of websites, but I have no idea where to even start.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I figured it out... There is a company in Ontario called ustaxrefund.com.

After some paperwork and 16 weeks or so, I will get around $975 of the $1172 that was deducted from my Jackpot.

This is a picture of me with my fake check and the wad of cash!
