I dropped $100 on the single zero roulette last trip.
Just could not hit old number 23.

I'll be back trying again, probably next trip.

What was most annoying was not my losses, but the fact that the double zero table was crowded and the single zero was not. I remember seeing the same thing when the Statosphere had the low minimum single zero wheel years back.

I too love it that somebody is paying attention to good gambling.
However. I am not certain that is what is attracting the tourist dollar just now. It just seems folks are not paying attention to mathematics when they gamble.

M has a single zero wheel and when I called they told me it was a $5 minimum bet. I can hardly believe that is correct information. How many posts and articles have we read about M and none of them mentioned this, yet it is the only thing making a roulette table a better bet than a slot machine.

I hope I am wrong and Riviera is right and they attract a gambling crowd.

My son and I stopped in at the Riviera on our trip to Las Vegas in October of last year.

I saw the single-zero roulette wheel and I thought it was a great deal for gamblers.

The table was empty, however, and the double-zero wheel had five people playing.

Just goes to show that there are an awful lot of ignorant gamblers out there.

I too hope that they attract more people to play at the Riveria. I think that a lot of the people that end up going there, do not like it because "it's old" and does not have the appearance that the Wynn and Encore have close by. All the casinos in Vegas, especially on the Strip are all about the glitz and the glam.

The Riveria has a classic, old school feel to it and I like that about a place. Probably why I spend a lot of my time playing Downtown Las Vegas.

I never really play roulette, because of the high house edge associated with it. Playing on a single zero roulette table is definately the way to do it.

I have to be honest, I did not even pay attention to the roulette tables last October when I went to the Riveria - there's ignorance, huh?

When I am back in March, I will definately need to check it out and see it for myself. I would like to see them improve their video poker as well.

Looks like they are on the right track...

Me too. I'm tempted to stay there, but the same thing always happens to me. I rarely end up in new places because even on sale they don't beat the prices of places I have stayed and played. My poker play in CET is giving me some great prices at Imperial Palace and that would put me right where I want to get a seat at 8 AM for the cracked Aces game.

I would like to stay at the Riv somethime, but I agree with the Total Rewards. I have some great offers from CET and their Total Rewards. I got 5 nights comped through Total Rewards that I am going to use in March - 2 at the IP and 3 at the Bird.

Really looking forward to this trip as well and hoping for some fun and entertaining poker play at the IP. Especially the games in the evening, those can get exciting...

If I make another trip this year after my trip in March (which I more than likely will) I will see what kind of deal I can get at the Riveria, just to say I stayed there.
