  • Atlantic City

I had a fine trip to Atlantic City and will certainly go again.
I lost double my usual bankroll, but the rest of the trip went well and I found frugal rooms that were very upscale, frugal ways to eat against the current of high food prices there and in sync with my diet and although I stayed in the isolated marina area, bringing a bike and finding free parking at Atlantic Club let me fully enjoy some time on the boardwalk and some poker in some of those casinos as well.
Details and photos are all here
Non Vegas Poker:local Foxwoods, Turning Stone, Four Winds, Tampa, Chicago Horseshoe others

Enjoy your trip to France, I had a trip to southern France about 13 years ago. Have a great winter in Florida, my sister lives in Coconut Creek.
Your long stays in LV has inspired me to do a 9 night stay in early Dec. I was able to book a Sunday and Monday stay at Bally's for under 29 dollars total. Again have a great trip and winter. Ken

What the long stays enable me to do is have three times the vacation on the same airfare. I like that. But I can always find things to do other than gambling, and even the egambling, when primarily 2-4 limit poker, does not require much bankroll. for some folks it would be a struggle. I've just been reading Royal Flusher's blog and his struggle to keep the VP gambling bankroll manageable.

The long trips are not for everyone.

I have stayed 7 nights before. I am mainly a .25 vp player. some nickel slots for fun and I try to see something new every trip. I have taken a bus rides out to Ethel M before and the Red Rock and Alliante Casinos. This trip the FB season is full swing, so I will be enjoying some games. I usually make up a schedule of things to do. Any way I have enjoyed your tips. Take care, Ken
