  • Venetian and Palazzo going to optional resort fee

Now here is a trend I like.
While they raised the fee from $20-$25, they make it optional. However, if we use any resort fee services while we are there, we are then charged the regular price of those benefits.
    Services are listed as:

Access for two to the fitness facility within the Canyon Ranch SpaClub®
In-suite internet access (WiFi or Ethernet)
    Free boarding pass printing
    Unlimited local and toll-free calls
    A complimentary daily newspaper
Coffee or tea at Café Presse (one time for two people)
One two-for-one drink coupon for well drinks, domestic beer or wine at any casino bar excluding The Bourbon Room (must be 21 or older to redeem drink coupon)

Note the pool is not in this list of benefits. I guess basically we would be charged if we went on line or swiped into the fitness center.
This seems to solve the issues of those who need no services as well as those who want them bundled.
As always, check at the hotel and be certain this actually will work for you.

The change and confusion never ends with resort fees, Different prices for different player levels, for certain services, but not all services and of course every hotel has a different policy.

Add to the list of the optional places, Treasure Island, but you must have booked directly and have a Player's Card.
By the way if you pay ala carte at the Venetian or Palazzo, the fitness rooms is $40 and internet is $20, so if you use those services, the resort fee is a bundled bargain.
