They told me those folks who have already booked will not have to pay. Just new bookings. None of it makes any sense to me. I liked the D. Now I'll be looking elsewhere and I suppose find the same crap there.

Why not make the rooms free but have a $40 resort fee, that way you can be listed first on hotels.com, which seems to be their reasoning. I don't know how this will effect comp rooms, but I will be staying and playing at no fee hotels, while there are a few still left that are not trying to fool their customers with hidden charges.
