  • Eastside Cannery joins the fee folks

Eastside Cannery now shows a $3 energy surcharge. They advertise no resort fee. So this is the lie.
When I asked about it on their Facebook page, they just deleted the question.

Cannery does not seem to need an energy surcharge. Electricity must be cheaper in that part of Vegas.

I really have a hard time understanding the thinking of Casinos. I guess that they know we have little control of the fees that they charge. There are few casinos that truly don't have a fee attached to staying even on comped rooms. I know it is expensive to run a business in the desert but with the downgrading of good pay video poker and the tightening of the slots isn't enough to offset that expense? I guess I would rather pay a $3 energy fee than a resort fee for services that I don't want or use. I mean I do use energy when I am in Vegas.

Okay, This was my mistake. I wrote a protest letter to Eastside Cannery and they don't have a surcharge. I could not locate where it was that I read it, even to let them know. Probably on some search hotel board.
      So sorry.
Lately, I seem to not get things right.
