  • Updated Jubilee Stage Show Now Open at Bally’s Las Vegas

I saw this show about 10 years ago. It was pretty good back then and it seems that they have now updated it to make it better. Click on the photo below to enlarge it.

LAS VEGAS (April 9, 2014) –Jubilee recently celebrated its grand reopening at Bally’s Las Vegas, ushering in a whole new chapter for Vegas’ most iconic show. While the best of the show’s main elements, including the signature showgirl costumes and set pieces, have been preserved as homage to the original production, director and choreographer Frank Gatson Jr. has updated the choreography, music, technology and some of the costumes to appeal to a wider range of audiences. After having undergone its first set of extensive changes, Jubilee has transformed into show that is constantly evolving, while staying true to the original spirit of the show.

“We are proud of the new elements that have been added to the show, which, combined with the timeless beauty of the Las Vegas showgirl and true spectacle of Jubilee, will keep guests flocking to Jubilee for many more years to come,” said Kurt Melien, vice president of entertainment for Caesars Entertainment. “We also look forward to exploring opportunities of how we can continue to evolve the show in the future, whether it is injecting it with new music or bringing in celebrities for guest singing or dancing spots.”

Originally produced by Donn Arden, Jubilee first opened on July 30, 1981 and quickly became synonymous with Las Vegas, outlasting every show on the famed Strip. The reinvented show includes a wide range of new music, and exhilarating choreography complements the music with bigger and bolder dance moves that are more technical and visually appealing. Now, more than ever before, audiences are surrounded by beautiful, long-legged showgirls that descend from the ceiling, shimmy through the aisles and dance around on the theater’s balconies.

With a stage that is 15 stories high and half the size of a football field wide, Jubilee is home to one of the most advanced and technically complex theaters in America. While still utilizing fly lines, elevators, visual effects, water features and pyrotechnics that have been in place throughout the show’s 33-year history, state-of-the-art lighting fixtures, projectors and a surround sound system have been installed to complete the grand spectacle and keep audiences stimulated. Music can now be heard through a 4.1 surround sound system. Crystals on the iconic showgirl costumes shine brighter with 30 new high-end SolaSpot Pro LED moving light fixtures and forefront Barco projectors. Additionally, Optiblack video screens have been added to cast stunning 3D motion graphics.

Jubilee performs Sunday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., Thursday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 10 p.m. Tickets range in price from $62.50 - $122.50 (additional service fees apply) and can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com, at any Las Vegas Caesars Entertainment Box Office or by calling (702) 777-2782 and (855) 234-7469.
