    That article is incorrect.

    Resorts World is not being built on the site of the old Sands. That is where the Venetian was built.

    Resorts World is being built on the former site of the Stardust.

    The Stardust was torn down to make room for Boyd Gaming's Echelon project, was abandoned when the U.S. economy initially crashed several years ago.
