    New Wild Rose Casino in Clinton, Iowa

    On Friday, June 27, 2008, the Wild Rose Casino in Clinton, Iowa (formerly the Mississippi Belle II) is scheduled to open. It is a land-based casino. To get more information, you can go to the ACG website, click on Iowa casinos, and then click on Wild Rose Casino or Mississippi Belle II. It sounds rather small, only 478 slots. It does have table games.

    I`M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE GRAND OPENING AND THE COMPLETION OF THE ENTIRE OPERATION.YOU`RE CLOSER TO MY HOME THEN RIVERSIDE CASINO & RESORT AND ISLE OF CAPRI AS THE CASINOS IN DUBUQUE.SO GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND AM LOOKING FORWARD TO MANY VISITS TO YOUR CASINO IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

        We visited the Wild Rose in Clinton, Iowa today. It's nice, but rather small. They had many different machines, lots of 1 cent. On their website, they said that they had 'Top Gun'. When I asked about it, I was told that it was in the warehouse. They do have some video poker and some table games. See their website.

        Monday was half price lunch for the over 50 crowd, so it was crowded around the noon hour. The buffet, $10.24 for two, was okay. The fried catfish was good, but the fried chicken breast was not cooked enough for my liking.

        The casino is on the south-western edge of Clinton, about 5 miles west of the river.

        I think we will be going back again. We did come out a little ahead, but I don't know if enough to cover the cost of the gas to get there. It was fun.

          I am very impressed with the New Wild Rose Casino. It is an asset to our community. Thank you for staying in Clinton and building a new facility. We will get a lot of enjoyment out of this casino.
