  • Hollywood Casino Tunica: My Tunica favorite

I liked this little place. It reminded me of the smaller casinos in Vegas years ago before eveything needed to be so grand and opulently overwhelming. There were plenty of themed photos and hanging decorations, as well as cases that collected bits of various movies. Some of the cars from famous movies were there, including one from Back to the Future. They let me photograph any of this, but the shots did not come out too well.

I am not the best to evalutate the gamblling because I play only live limit poker, but their $3-$6 game is my favorite limit game. Perhaps I was there on a good night, but all up the Mississippi on my 21 day trip I found myself stuck in poker games where players dwindled away. At Hollywood the table was full of a mixture of young college kids and older players and the atmosphere was of a party. The girls ordered *** on the beach and then teased all of us older men into having *** on the beach with them.

I made money. The players would pay my better cards by staying with second best hands. The drink service was friendly and fast and the floor people and dealers were very easy and personable.

I was sorry not to have tried to stay there when I saw the little indoor pool and how it too was decorated and interesting. It was too cold to swim outside in March, but at the Hollywood I'd have had a good swim in the indoor pool.

I did not eat the buffet, but I did enjoy the selections in the little diner. Outside that diner each morning I could set up my computer and get free wi-fi on little metal tables.

Tunica casinos are spread out, but this casino is near Sam's Town andResorts so there is a cluster of three.
