I'm sorry to say that I must jump on the bandwagon and express my recent displeasure with CTRS. Used to win, but no more. I love to play the slots and this is the closest facililty, but I much prefer Dover Downs.
I have been to Charlestown with groups of 4-6 people and no one won anything. Either we are the unluckiest people on the planet, or the payouts are so low that it is virtually impossible to take home any cash.
The attendants walk around bored, just hoping for the opportunity to hand pay someone. The smoking is also out of control and should be banned. The Players Club is trying to improve, but sending me a $5.00 cash coupon is not going to encourage me to make a trip there.
I have seen so many negative reviews on Charlestown that they either are clueless to how their patrons feel or they simply don't care because there is no local competition. My guess is they are laughing all the way to the bank!
