  • Palace Station Hotel & Casino: Going downhill fast

While the restaurants and the gambling are still OK, the desperate hotel policy of hitting guests with a surprise $14.99 "resort fee" is scandalous. Particularly when they frequently offer a $19 per night room rate. With the $14.99 "resort fee" added, the actual room rate is nearly DOUBLED. This is truly SLEEZY. Of course, the "resort fee" is disclosed on their site, if one is careful to go there and read it. But I think they're counting on people to not read it. Otherwise they would just charge $34 per night instead of $19 plus a $14.99 "resort fee".

It's hard to justify the extra effort it takes to go and gamble in this relatively isolated casino. And the hotel should be boycotted just for principles sake because of the extreme "resort fee".

We will be staying there in October. Our rooms are comped and no resort fee applies. But what I am seeing most of the off strip casino's have resort fees. Prices varies
