  • Buffets in Las Vegas

So I am planning on getting the acg coupon book to take advantage of the 2 for 1 specials but we are also traveling with kids. So I was wondering, I seen some buffets are on average $10.00. Is that the same price for the kids as well or do you get a price break on their food?

    Re: Buffets

Most Casinos have a child price. It varies on how tall or old the child needs to be. You may want to get a 2 or 3 books. They pay for themselves. The last thing you want to do is be short on a coupon. It cost more for you not to have the books. Of Course you can't use them all, but the great thing is, once you use a couple, you are already ahead.

Thanx so much for the info. Do they allow you to use more than one coupon per purchase though?

ALso I was wondering how strict Circus Circus is with their 4 person max occupancy?

With dh and I and kids there are more than 4 of us. LOL

What they don't know, will not hurt them. You can use 1 coupon per 2 people at the buffets. Think about going to the Silverton Buffet. It is really good. They have a huge fish tank and actually have MERMAIDS FROM TIME TO TIME. Your kids will love it. The bonus is, you also have a coupon for 10 free slots. Everyone I had eat there loves it.

I DISAGREE...one can eat better at Orleans, Gold Coast.

. The bonus is, you also have a coupon for 10 free slots.

CAN THESE 10 FREE SLOTS BE TAKEN HOME ???

HMMM. Trying to be a smart butt? Well the 10 free SLOT PLAY is available to you. Can the Orleans and Gold coast make you your own special pasta dish right in front of you? Seasons is a great buffet at the Silverton. Your kids will love the fish tank as well.

              Re: Buffets

As I remember from last year, the lunch at Silverton was not good. The Sunday brunch was good, but pricey for an off-strip casino. They did pour a generous amount of champagne.

The Orleans buffet is better, but I think a little overrated. Personally I like the Stations and the Fiestas better.

                Denny ...

The Silverton buffet has been upgraded from a year ago. We had the lunch buffet about three weeks ago (ACG 2/1), and it was really good, with lots of choices. The buffet is really stretched out from end to end, and you have check out the complete line, so as to not miss anything. I almost missed the seafood section down at the far right end.

                      Thanks Buddha

I was not intending to go to Silverton for the buffet when I go to Vegas in May. Now I might give it another try.

                          Re: Buffets (Denny)

Denny , I think you're from the Wisc. area, if you're the same person I talked to about a year ago on this web site, I'm from the La Crosse area, you seem to have a lot of knowledge on Las Vegas.

Can you recommend some cheap air fare from La Crosse or Minneapolis? We're planning on going in early July.

                          Thanks Jim.

Allegiant flies from Rochester, MN on Sunday and Thursday. Prices have been as low as $59 one way.

Jim, I am the person from WI you are thinking of. Brian is right about Allegiant. Go to allegiantair.com for rates. We use them out of Green Bay but Rochester is closer to LaCrosse and their rates are a bit better than Green Bay as of today. If the departure/return days work out for you I'd grab it right away because the rates won't likely go down.

We sometimes used Worry Free Vacations and flew Champion Air out of HHH in Minneapolis, but Champion is now out of business too and it appears that Northwest will take their place. I doubt the rates will be any good though. You could check Sun Country. They go out of the Charter Terminal (HHH) too. Some say they've gotten decent rates with them, but I never have.
