  • Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem: no excitement, not fun

We were in the area and decided to stop in. Only $5 bonus play for first time club cards! Sheesh. No atmosphere at all. It's like an airplane hangar. The place is beautiful, but there is no noise, no energy. It feels flat. And, no fun. Most machines we played are "death marchers"; blank... blank... blank... cherry... blank... blank.... We ate at Carnegie Deli, which is no bargain but the food is good and plentiful; $18 for a corned beef Reuben, but it was quality lean corned beef and lasted for 3 filling meals.

The casino is beautiful and will be impressive when the hotel and mall are completed - hopefully this year, now that table games are a "go". I've always found the slots paying out quite well there. I can't account for every persons experience. The atmosphere changes according to the day and time of day. Saturday evenings are ofcourse, the best. As for 'bonus play', the SANDS had a very good bonus play from October through December. As much as $15.00.
