  • DiamondJacks Casino - Vicksburg: it's kind of nice

On the return trip we decided to stay in Vicksburg. We got in kind of late so only the Cafe was open. Service was friendly but frankly slow, food looked pretty good however.

Room was cheap and priced fair. The room was warm, it was cold outside so I assume they had the Cooling units off. Internet was free so I could check e-mail.

I actually like the Casino and it had a decent selection of games for it's size. There are bars upstairs and down. The cocktail waitresses served double duty as the bartender.

The attitude of the staff seemed like the economy had them depressed. The place was mostly locals and there was no buzz or excitement in the place outside of the sound of the machines.

Doubtful I would go back because the place just seemed sad and tired. It was clean and all but just kind of depressing.

We stopped in Diamond Jacks in Boissier City and found the players club cards are not networked. That too was a disappointment.
