  • Best Laughlin, Nevada casinos?

    Hi All,

We decided to make a side trip to Laughlin.

Where do you folks like to play vp? And where do you like regular slot games? Any video slots or regular slots worth playing anywhere?

    Thanks,
    PJ

    Re: Laughlin

Laughlin is excellent, probably my favorite gambling town. Great VP everywhere. The River Palms even has all-american VP and plenty of other full-pay games(dueces wild for instance). The rooms and food are good an cheap.

The Ramada Express runs a frequent special where you can buy one night for 30.00 and get the 2nd night free(look for the coupons lying around the casino for the 1st visit, then they'll include them with your check-in packet.

Check out the Colorado Belle's Boiler Room and the upstairs 24 hour paddlewheel restaurant(great river views). The Pioneer River Bar is huge with a cool internet jukebox and a great view.......good VP too. Good luck.

Thanks for the info Mike. Can't wait. My husband and I enjoy playing Triple Play Bonus Poker.

And I have a weakness for Hee Haw. I think it has to do with the chicken and the bonus rounds. I play it at Mohegan. Do you or does anyone else know if it's in Laughlin or Camp Verde?

      Thanks again,
      PJ

I'm not sure about hee-haw and know nothing about camp verde PJ, but Laughlin has to have that game somewhere. Best bets to find this game would be the Riverside's casino on the other side of the street, the Aquarius, or Harrahs. Good luck.

Thanks so much Mike. Do you or anyone else know if when you hit a bonus round on a slot game and you have to make choices (like picking a place to dig in Pay Dirt) does it really matter where you pick? Is the amount of money pre determined or do your choices really matter?
          Thanks,
          P.J.

            Re: Laughlin

I've read (Casino Player mag I think) that games like Williams' jackpot party, it DOES matter what present you choose, and that probably goes for all Williams' brand games.

In my opinion, just from personal experience, there are other brand games that pre-determine their bonus 'choices'. For example, in the Atronic brand running numbers game(similar to babooshka), I believe the loanshark's briefcase bonus round is pre-determined. This is based on the fact that out of the 8 briefcase choices, the collect choice which ends the round, is never 1st or 8th......I was always allowed to pick 2-7 briefcases and 90% of the time it was 3-4 briefcases. I've gotten into this particular bonus round about 200 times, which should be plenty enough times to come to this conclusion of pre-determination. The math is overwhelmingly in favor of it.
