We did not stay here, but we were next door at Flamingo. They have a new restaurant that just opened called "Hash House a-go-go". It is a spin off from the other 2, one in San Diego and one in LV over on Sahara. It was featured on the TV show, Man Vs Food and was voted "Best breakfast in Vegas". There are "thank-you pix" of lots of celebrities on the wall. There motto is "twisted farm food" and it is gourmet comfort food.
We ordered one of the skillet hash breakfasts, meatloaf with roasted peppers, scallions, etc. over potato hash with two eggs and a giant biscuit. We got a side order of bacon to avoid the extra plate charge and a different skillet hash and same thing. The table next to us had pancakes that were as big as a frisbee.
They have whole leaf tea and lots of unique juice beverages and cocktails. You can get a fresh squeezed tangerine mimosa or a 24 oz beer in a paper bag. It's quirky and fun. Customer service was fantastic, from the servers to the bartenders, to the hosts, to one of the managers who came over to chat. They all seem to like working there and are eager to please.
The second day we went, it was really crowded, but we scored a couple of seats at the bar and avoided the 45 minute wait. One of the managers told us that the reason they chose the IP for their expansion was because the IP has one of the highest occupancy rates on the strip.
My husband stayed at IP on a previous visit and said the rooms were average, nothing special. We have gotten offers in the mail from Harrah's for rates of $0-$50 night for off-season for IP. We didn't gamble much there as it is a Harrah's property and everyone knows about Harrah's propensity for lousy blackjack rules and low pay Video poker. if you are a high roller, there are some decent table games at the higher levels.
