  • Casinos outside U.S

My husband and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary this year and we would like to take a trip, but not sure where. It would be nice to have a good casino at the location.

Do you folks have any ideas? Do you know anything about casinos in Italy, Canada or the Bahamas...like Atlantis?

    Thanks,

    PJ

Atlantis,in Nassau Bahamas, would be a good choice. Check out the movie 'After the Sunset' with Pierce Brosnan and Woody Harrelson, if you want to get a good look at the place. Casino Windsor, just over the line from Detroit, is good also.
Aruba is another good idea. There are several casinos there to choose from. I'll bet(that's funny) that Niagra Falls has some casino action nearby, also !

I have been to Atlantis in the Bahamas three times.

It is truly one of the most unique casinos properties in the world and I would recommend that you try to visit it.

It's very expensive to stay there, but there are other hotels on Paradise Island that are less expensive. Most are within walking distance and I believe that you can buy a day pass to use the Atlantis water facilites.

Niagara Falls has, I believe, 2 on the Canadian side, 1 on the USA side, another to be built in Buffalo in the future & another at a Racetrack 30 miles North of Buffalo.
If you're thinking about Casino Windsor, which will be renamed Caesars Casino Windsor soon, just cross the the Bridge into Motown & you'll find 3: MGM, GREEKTOWN & Motor City (we prefer MGM, been going there 6 times in the last 12 weeks & coming out ahead). Of course, there should be casinos near Montreal, if you're thinking that part of Quebec. Calgary, if western Canada. Just research online some more (or Google for info).

Take a cab going there. The water taxi pick-up on return is SURE in a scary location (or, it was a few years back).
