  • Parx Casino and Racetrack: A waste of time, gas and money

We live about 2 hours away and have been going to Atlantic City for many years and wanted to visit Parx Casino. We were smart enough to go online and read the horrible reviews, but dumb enough to go anyhow. So, last night (Saturday) we took the trip. It was easy enough to find, but parking was another issue. The place was mobbed and we had to park a far distance away (actually the adjacent Racetrack lot) and walk a long distance. Inside was packed, with open machines hard to find. It was late and people were just starting to leave, so we killed some time by walking around the casino and seeing what was there. My wife and I finally located some familiar machines and began playing. Within 15 minutes, both of us had lost half of our money without getting any decent hits. We both moved on to other machines. Unfortunately, these slots seemed equally as tight, only giving an occasional few credit wins. A short while later we had gone through $600 and hit nothing! It was very boring and frustrating to have those machine just steal your money and not give anything back. We had been going to AC for over 20 years and never experienced machines as tight as those at Parx Casino. As for the wait staff, no one ever came to offer us beverages until we were about to leave.Do NOT go to this place to gamble - they are robbers in disguise. In fact, they should round up the owners and the management and send them all off to prison with Bernie Madoff. We will never return to this place.
