My guess is that your friend is betting a lot more than he is telling you.

The casinos send you offers based on your play. Therefore, he must be putting a lot more through those machines than you think he is.

I'm a frequent patron of both the Meadows and the Rivers. The Rivers is definitely a "classier" joint. Better food choices. Better bars. Better music. Better announcer. If you're a sports fan, there are big screen TV's galore. Self service complimentary drinks so you don't have to hunt down someone to get a drink.Until today, I thought they're comps were the worst.I frequent the Rivers at least three times a week and can't get past $5 a week. Granted all I play is video poker. Food coupon has never gone above $5.I also frequent the Meadows. There have been times when I got up to $15 a week. This is what annoys me. A friend of mine received in the mail his promo mailer. He who visited the Meadows Casino twice in the last six months gets for the month of May $100 a week in free play. $15 in food two times a month. 50,000 bonus points once a week and is guaranteed at least $75 and a chance at a $1000 a week for that other gimmick. That's $225 a week in free play. HOW THE HELL DOES THAT HAPPEN? THE MEADOWS CERTAINLY DOESN'T REWARD YOU FOR LOYALTY, DO THEY?I get more at Wheeling. Great hotel discounts and food coupons. Might be a little further but at least they reward you for being loyal. That's my beef. Can someone explain to me how something like that happens?
