Are There State/Federal Rules for Abandoned Slot Credits?

This issue of money/credits, a player may walk away from or forget on a slot machine need to address to the public. In addition it need to be listed buy sate and or federal laws. If I am asking for information already in print, how do I find it. I do not want public views, I want laws.
Also is it ok for casino staff to call a casino rewards member the night before a promotional event, of a random drawing to make sure they are going to be there. And that members name is selected the day of the promotional event?

It is my understanding that any credits that are left on a machine, as well as any vouchers that are not cashed, are escheated to the state.

Of course, if someone leaves the credits on a machine and you are the first to see it I am sure you could play them out before anyone knew about it. But if the credits remained there they would eventually be given to the state.

You would have to check each state's gaming regulations to verify this information.
