  • Meskwaki Casino in Iowa

    Hi!

We are hoping to escape for a few days and visit a few casinos in Iowa (we live in north-central Illinois and do not have a casino close to us).

Since we are planning to take our small RV, I contacted Meskwaki to inquire about their RV park that is listed as free in the ACG. Apparently, they have added a new 50 space RV park with restrooms and showers and now charge $15.00 per night. You may want to change the 'free' to $15.00. It is open year-round.

The casino has a great rating on this website. Has anyone else been there recently?

    Re: Meskwaki Casino RV Park

Go to Meskwaki two/three times a year---from hear in central IL---usually on a bus trip for two nites. Casino has been newly enlarged and the old casino has been remodeled.

Nice sized casino with a wide variety of games. It has a large bingo hall. Hotel--I know you won't use it--has been doubled with a new tower, nice indoor pool and hot tub.

It is out in the boondocks, and by itself, but we like it and would recommened it.

This is one of nicest casinos we have been to. They have enlarged it alot and rooms are very nice. Food is excellent and reasonable. Have won pretty good on slots here. Terribles at Lakeside is a great place too. It is south of Des Moines in Osceolo IA.

        Re: Meskwaki Casino RV Park

The biggest drawback to Meskwaki is they have no bar or lounge. It is simply a tribal decision not to allow alcohol on tribal property. That includes the hotel.

If you want to have a drink in your room, be discreet about it. They won't likely search your cooler just by carrying it in, but if you say something about it, you will be asked to take it back out the door.
