  • Caesars Windsor: Nicest in the area

Caesar Windsor is by far the nicest casino in the Detroit area. The casino is big and feels very spacious and open. They always have a lot of entertainment and promotions going. It's nice that it's a Harrah's property now for those who go to Vegas. Parking garage is well lit and good spaces are usually open. Hotel is very nice and affordable with those who have some comps. Base rate is pretty high for those without comps. Buffet is pretty decent, but the price is high. Sports bar is also pretty nice, but also on the high side. Table minimums aren't bad. Casino is smoke free which is nice for people who don't smoke. Casino almost feels that busy unless a big concert is going on. The biggest problem Caesars has here is that people without a passport can't get to it. Even for people like me who have a passport it's sometimes not worth the hassle. I hate to say it but the fact is US customs people are something of the biggest A**holes around and make it not worth the hassle of going over and going back. It also cost something like $4 each way over the bridge which is a ripoff too.
