  • Price Tag for free drinks at Sam's Town in Las Vegas

Sam's Town Casino in Las Vegas refused to serve my friend a beer two nights ago because he was not playing enough money per hit on a penny video poker machine.

The 'Food and Beverage Manager' told me that was a long standing rule in Vegas and they were enforcing it. My advice to anyone traveling to Vegas - Avoid Sam's Town Casino on Boulder Hwy.

Was he playing one penny at a time? If so I would not give him a free beer............

Jeez, that seems unusual. There have been plenty of times that I was just hanging around waiting on something or someone, and have been able to grab an extra beer from a passing waitress.

It helps to show a dollar bill when asking, too.

Sounds like Sam's Town is dropping the ball there, even if the guy was betting only 1 penny at a time.

Don't they know that the more a person drinks the more they gamble............your friend may have been just 1 more beer away from ugrading to nickels !

Besides, these big casinos buy their booze by the truckload, with a big volume discount..................a bottle of beer couldn't cost them much more than a quarter.

Those 2 hole in the wall casinos downtown(Mermaids and Le Bayou) have it right : 'Once the customer walks thru the door, let's get 'em drunk and keep 'em here !'

The girls there are kinda hot too, in a trashy sort of way !............or maybe it was the beer-goggles messing up my judgement !
