Re: casino location
There is the Sun Cruz casino boat that sails from Mayport twice daily. They have the old time slots, and table games.
The disadvantage is that you cannot gamble until they are at least 3 miles out in international waters, so that takes about 75 minutes each way. But, on a nice day, the ride is enjoyable, and they do have buffet food.
The only other gambling here, other than dog races, is the St. John's dog track poker room, which is open 6 days a week from noon till midnite( closed Tuesday).
The Seminole hard rock casino in Tampa is about 4 hours away, off I4 at exit 7. Hope this helps. My wife and I love to go to casinos, and usually drive to Biloxi.
