As a non-strip hotel, you know that this place has to appeal to the locals (with plenty of slot machines, promotions etc), but it also attracts that out of state young and party crowd as well. The party crowd pretty much sticks to the pool and the playboy club, while the locals hit the slots. Both of these groups seem to meet at the buffet which is good and offers more than your old vegas "prime roast beef). The rooms are still newish, with interesting bathroom fixtures, soaps etc. The sports bar is big and bright. At night, there is more of a party atmosphere, the young crowd standing in long snaking lines to get into the club, and the place takes on a more "party pit" atmosphere. But be warned, Maloof is now a minority owner of the place, and who knows if the new owners will be smart enough to leave this place mostly the way it is, or try to turn it into a mirror of the non-descript properties that harrah's owns (ie, which is what happened to the RIO across the street)
