  • Motor City Casino & Hotel: Continuous Night-club atmosphere

Great selection of slots spread over two huge floors: lots of newer games being installed while maintaining good selection of favorites/older themes. VERY noisy gaming floors: slot volume high, bells, table games loud and loud rock music at all hours - even overnight/early morning! Ear plugs should be sold here! I have had frequent profitable nights and extended periods of play on slots: bankroll seems to last longer. Self-serve drink stations are maintained frequently, however beverage service on the game floor is scarce. As are slot attendants. Casino cage personnel need serious training in courtesy and friendliness - and a smile would certainly be welcome! Players Club rewards are mediocre, but there are frequent special promotions to bring in the crowds. As with all Detroit casinos, be prepared for lots of smoke: poor air circulation in this building. Parking garage is HUGE and often full: be prepared to walk a great distance to the casino entrance (but free valet service is available - remember to tip the courteous, friendly valets!) This property always seems to be hopping. Buffet is pricey, but IMHO worth the cost: nice selection, usually tasty and well-prepared. I wish there was food/snack bar overnight! Have not stayed at the hotel yet. Need to be a lot more generous with FreePlay and comps for Club members. Big poker room. Table games often crowded.
