    The Lucky Dog is pretty remote unless you are driving up highway 101 from Olympia. The casino has a nice exterior appearance and it looks like the new management has tried to make the casino look clean and new as they can afford to. They are right between 7 Cedars and Little Creek, so they can't afford to run a run down dive like the disorganized Port Gamble S'Klallam tribe does with Point No Point Casino. They serve good coffee and soft drinks and have $5 food specials in the cafe. The casino is tiny and most of the machines are cleaned up riverboat specials. Most of the slots are older offerings--focusing on dollar and up spins. They do have a few of the Meltdown slots-that is their new offering. I went to play on a Monday early afternoon. The place had about 25 locals, primarily seniors. The machines played mostly up and down, with perhaps 3 or 4 "hot" machines in the entire casino. The play was similar to Lucky Eagle, looser than the Seattle/Tacoma casinos, but somewhat boring. I won big once, then lost slowly as 5 PM approached. I wouldn't want to be playing here during "rush hour". I think this casino is just too small to offer really good payouts very often.
