  • Fire Rock Navajo Casino: Nice casino in the middle of nowhere

Stopped here for lunch on a recent swing through New Mexico and really enjoyed the lunch we had. Can't say too much about the casino except that the slots didn't pay anything but which ones do? The gaming floor was a little crowded, but not a real problem and it was not to smokey as some casinos can be. We did not play long so cannot really comment on whether or not the slots pay very well over the long run and we did not play any table games. Enjoyed the lunch in the restaurant and the food was really tasty, and the help was courteous although slow. They only had 2 waitresses working over the lunch hour which seemed rather odd since it was busy. This is not a big or fancy place but the atmosphere is nice and friendly and we enjoyed the break in our trip.
