  • Las Vegas Hilton: OK Casino

I've stayed here 5 times in the last 3 years. In that time the service has slowly deteriorated. Each time the lines at the front desk have gotten longer as they don't staff enough people at the front desk (although this has been a problem at many other casinos in Las Vegas as well). Also they have what I call an "anti-resort fee". If you forego daily maid service, you get a $10 voucher good in the casino restaurants and stores. Well the last time we called to forego maid service on the first day since we had checked in late and didn't have a chance to really dirty the room. Well even though we only called to forego once, the maids never came during our stay and we got the $10 voucher every day. Calling to complain after the 2nd day didn't help anything. And I finally on the 3rd day had to ask for new towels. Somebody in housekeeping isn't keeping up with the program. We stay here since they send nice room offers to us on a regular basis and the rooms are nice. They do have some decent pay video poker machines. Too many of the blackjack tables pay the dreaded 6 to 5 and the minimums can seem high, especially compared to the other casinos on Paradise Road. And any hotel with a statue of Elvis out front can't be too bad. Maybe the Las Vegas Hilton has a special place in my heart since it is where this East Coast boy first played single deck blackjack.
