  • Silverton Casino Hotel Lodge: Cozy little find away from the Strip

I stumbled across this jewel while in town on a business trip (yes, a business trip). I love it here. I am saying that even though I haven't walked away with my pockets full. The rooms are wonderful and really give off a cabi/lodge like atmosphere. There's a variety of slots to choose from and the tables always have polite staff. There are several places to eat and dine on the floor of the casino - no 10 mile hike to try and find the buffet line. It is almost like a fancy food court. And one thing that sticks in my mind is that there's always a players club promo going on that entails turning in your points of the day for a random item that you would see advertised at 2am on tv. A shammy wow, a non stick pan, a car handwarmer... Want to take a break from the action? Hang out at the floor to ceiling fish tank... time it so that you can see the mermaids and divers feeding or cleaning the tank. Had enough of fish? Stroll into the full sized footprint of a Bass Pro Shop. I think that is the funniest thing! Out of clothes and ammo? Stop right in!
