Stayed here at the end of October for 5 nights for my wife's 30th birthday. This was also my first time staying at PH... We arrived at 2pm on a Monday afternoon. There was no one else at the front desk when we checked in, so I thought I would try the Andrew Jackson sandwich. I put the $20 between my ID and Credit Card and asked how he "could better accommodate us this week. Surely you have something better than the Hip Room?" Ended up getting a Resort Vista Suite on the 16th floor. It was a long walk from the elevator, but it was worth it. Room was massive, with a huge bathroom. There were two separate sinks on two separate counter tops in the bathroom, a large soaker tub with 42" flat screen above it, stand-up tower with a bench and separate pooh closet. The room itself had king-size bed with, large sitting area. All the rooms here have Hollywood stuff in them, we had the Walter Matthau suite. The casino here is awesome, confusing, but awesome. It took about 3 days to really get my bearings and figure out where the elevator was. There was a decent selection of VP, not the best paytables, but fun. I mostly played DDB at the bar and did quite well. Bartender was great and kept me hydrated. The casino after 7pm or so is like being in a night club. The Pleasure Pit comes alive where the dealers are dressed in lingerie and have dancers behind the tables. Lots of eye candy to be had. The music is also cranked way up, but sounds good. The Spice Market buffet has to be one of the best I have ever had in Vegas. I had a $10 off coupon and used my savings to buy the $11.99 all you can drink. The selection of food here was insane. The seafood section was great, and there were honestly too many options, especially at the desert section! I think I had 6 or 7 beer with dinner over the course of 2 hours. They were in no rush to throw us out, which was really nice. I also need to suggest that if anyone walks through this place, to go the Earl of Sandwich. It is awesome and open 24hrs which satisfied my midnight hunger. I really liked PH for the amenities, and the fact that I could be outside on the Strip in 4 to 5 minutes after leaving my room.
