  • Horseshoe Casino Southern Indiana: Dirtest hotel of all southern Indiana & illino

This casino is really going down hill, Hardly any floor or cage workers. The ticket machines also seem to be out of order and maybe 2 cages open with only a couple overworked and rude workers.

We were weekly caesars indiana diamond players The hotel rooms are so dirty we WILL not stay there anymore.

I am sorry to hear that. I have not been to Horseshoe lately but we are going Monday to stay the night. We started going to Grand Victoria in Rising Sun because the video poker is better. I have business in the Horseshoe area on Tuesday so we will stay there on Monday (comped of course). I am especially bothered with the dirty room comment. I will report when I get home.

Our stay at the Horseshow was uneventful. We arrived about 1:30 and we were given a room on the 10th floor which is the high roller floor. I was impressed until I found the room to be a smoking room. Our reservation was for non-smoking as my wife cannot stand the smoke smell. I realize that choices are not guaranteed but at 1:30 on a Monday afternoon you would think there would be a non-smoking room available. The worse part is the clerk did not tell me she was giving us a smoking room so I assumed (bad thing to do) that I got what I asked for in my reservation. We went back downstairs and I had a long discussion with a manager but the final answer was maybe a non-smoking room will be available later and maybe not. We settled for a fumigation job on the room but my wife said "never again." However I found the room to be clean. My other complaint appears to be minor but it is a matter of principle. Horseshoe charges $3.50 for a beer. That is up from $3.25 last trip. Grand Victoria, Hoosier Park Racino, and Indiana Live Racino charge $2.75. The casinos would like to give booze away but Indiana law does not allow it. It seems to me that a casino would at least charge me a minimal price for a beer. I feel riped-off paying $3.50. My guess is the Horseshoe has seen the last of us. In fact my wife said next time I have business in the Louisville area we will stay at French Lick Hotel and Casino even if we have to pay. I am not fired up about that but the boss has spoken. This is despite the fact we were net winners at Horseshoe this trip.
