i have been frequenting ho-chunk gaming wittenburg as well as their convenience store whitetail crossing since 2008-2009 and i will say that although this casino is small it is a fair place to game at. don't expect any huge payouts on their quarter slots as there is not that many to begin with but their max bet is 2 so it is more than fair. the machines are easier to play as you can just press the spin button. the cash coaster is a high paying machine as well as the goldbugs(have recently been a bit tighter) the staff there are EXCEPTIONALLY COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY, ESPECIALLY TO PATRONS WITH DISABILITIES. my buddy is on oxygen and in a wheelchair and when we game out at "the HO" as we call it, the staff are always right at the door (they have designated staff at the doorway to greet and open the door) waiting and willing to accommodate him. the staff even went up to my friend at one point noticing he was a regular and handed him a voucher that was abandoned and told him to play it off. it wasn't more than a few cents but the gesture towards a man in a wheelchair was all the proof that was needed. BE SMART with your bankroll and do not go to ho-chunk to expect a jackpot as most likely you wont get a huge one but they do play fair. i won 1,080 there last may 2011 at 2 am on the reel money 5 center doing the min bet button. and have won decently at times on the quarter slots. the key is to go BEFORE NOON or at 2 AM. they are open 24/7 from late spring until late fall during the winter season they revert to their old hours which they have extended to 4 am. and ho chunk has good lemonade
i have also frequented the whitetail crossing mainly for the tobacco shop and gas and the prices are fair. remember CASH CUSTOMERS GET A FEW CENTS OFF/GAL AND YOU GET A FEW MORE CENTS OFF WHEN YOU PRESENT YOUR PLAYERS CARD. its like a nickel off last i checked and is a decent deal total CAN BE COMBINED FOR GAS PURCHASES also its philips 66 gas and is of superior quality and doesn't burn right up. recap: the entire establishment is a good place to go you feel welcomed and oh on certain days they offer free valet parking.
