  • The Greenbrier: Lackluster payouts on slots

I'm not much of a gambler, but my wife loves the slots, though she's hardly a big gambler. The payouts, as is apparently true of all West Virginia casinos, are fairly poor. We've been there four times and each time was pretty much the same. Roulette tables (usually one, sometimes two are going) are fun. The card games are pretty lively and there are usually four or five tables of various games going. It's hit or miss as far as customer service goes. In four trips, I've been asked if I wanted a drink just twice. Player's Club is okay...you can get some nice special packages in the winter and you can build up a small amount of money on your card as you play to apply to your meals. Hotel is very nice, but recently has had to cut back on various small amenities because it has lost a good deal of money. Food is good. Very pricey.
