    Orleans Hotel & Casino, The: Home to 'Viva Las Vegas' -- Everyone Should Attend

    I happen to be paralyzed and in a wheelchair, but fly out several times a year I fly out to Vegas and always enjoy checking out the various resorts.There are two primary reasons why I give The Orleans a high rating: 1). The annual "Viva Las Vegas" extravaganza over Easter Weekend. Without a doubt the the finest combination of classic cars, rockabilly music and burlesque babes in the world. Extremely entertaining and incredible people watching. 2). The complimentary shuttle bus (with wheelchair lift) to and from the Strip (Bill's Gambling Saloon). My shuttle driver (Gene) epitomized what Vegas hospitality should aspire to. Great music, conversation and loves his job/people.I also enjoy many offers from Boyd Gaming for room discounts and other seasonal promotions from the Orleans.The property is to spread out/expansive for me to stay there on a regular basis, but it has a lot going for it -- especially for folks who want something more than gambling.
