  • More disappointment at Hardrock Tampa..

I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. Saturday was my birthday and my wife and I decided to have some drinks at the center bar. As is par for the course all the slots at the bar (where I actually do pretty well ) were - yes, you guessed it - OUT OF SERVICE. I did sit on the one that was working and won a little bit of cash. Now, recently as you all have heard, those of you in Florida anyway, they recently put the table games on the floor. Blackjack, more poker, pai gow, and bacarrat. From what I saw every table was a $25 minimum..This is just ridiculous. I guess when you're the only game in town you can have strip style table pricing, and subpar service, food, comps ect...Thank God I'll be in real casinos come January 1st...

It's the same at Hollywood Hard Rock with table games, all high minimum. Unfortunately it will stay that way until the novelty wears off. They are always full!
I just toy around with video poker. Not full pay, but on a par or actually better than the other casinos in Broward county. I'd never play for any big money.

Unfortunately our dimwitted governor Crist gave these people carte blanche over Florida gaming until 2015 or something like that. Sad to say, and this may be politically incorrect, but Indian - tribal - casinos just don't cut the mustard for me. I find them penny ante, and cheesy, not to mention overpriced and tight.
