I went to Angel of the Winds Casino on Friday, June 29th 2012*and after not being there for even 10 minutes, was assaulted by a man. He made the excuse that because the friend I was with said the word fat in a conversation he was having with me, that he must have been referring to the man's family. The man proceeded to then gather the people he had with him, and instead of targeting my friend, attacked me instead. He perceived me as being homosexual and repeatedly called me faggot while he tried tripping me and pushing me in the back. I was verbally and physically assaulted and all I got from security was that if he did it again he would be asked to leave. I am dissatisfied with my experience there and the lack of action on part of the security staff. I felt unsafe and eventually had to leave because they allowed the man to stay after verbally and physically attacking me for a perceived slight that he admitted, to security and even to me while he was harassing me, I did not commit. I feel this man targeted me because he believed I was homosexual and an easy target for harrassment, since all the comments were based on me being a "faggot" and because he targeted me instead of the man that had offended him. It created an atmosphere that I am not willing to endure again. I will not be coming back to a place that allows its patrons to discriminate and physically abuse others.* Read the full Casino Review
