  • Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City: Machines Seem Tight to Me

This casino is designed to suck your bank account dry. Stay away. Talked to lots of local players who have never had a win on their slots. The slots I played have a payout rate of 0. I played 10 different two credit quarter machines, 10 bucks each and did not get one single credit. That's right, not one single cherry on a Friday night. I saw lots of angry people leaving this place.

I have to say I agree with the original poster. Ameristar slot pay backs are tighter. I have been to Ameristar 5 times since May of 2012 and only won one jackpot. That was a $500 win which did not make up for my other 4 visits. I was just at Ameristar this morning and only lost $35. I love the penny slots but you seldom can win on them so I went to half dollar and dollar machines which enabled me to recoup about $250. of what I had spent. So the next time I go to any KC area casino I will play .50 and $1.00 first and then take my "winnings" to the penny slots for fun. Looking forward to returning to the Indian casinos in Oklahoma in October. The best thing going for players is meal comps but you need to spend a couple hundred dollars to earn them.
