  • Lucky Dog Casino: Lucky Dog Revisited

Hard to believe, but I actually had a winning visit in a Washington Casino. I was up 400% when I left after a 3 hour stay on a Sunday afternoon. These guys have tried really hard to improve their operation since I was there nine months ago. The slot play seems better, pretty loose for Washington standards, so there is a lot of back and forth. (Of course, I would imagine there is some pretty severe shearing during weekday rush hours). They have added several flashy new interactive slot machines, and have two or three staffed tables. They have updated the restrooms and bar, added new decorations and furniture, and have a good drink stand. They serve Seattle's Best Coffee and offer flavors--way above the swill Muckleshoot serves in styrofoam cups. They don't care if you walk out with the drinks, so it makes for a nice rest stop on Highway 101. There were several sizable payouts while I was there. It feels small compared to other casinos, but I had more fun playing winning machines over being sheared in larger casinos.
