Re: biloxi casinos
I was in Biloxi in January. I did not like Harrahs (It is in the old parking garage and difficult to get around in. Also, we went for an advertised promotion and were told that it was discontinued...it was on TV the day before we went).
I did like the Silver Slipper in Bay St. Louis, good promotions, serve yourself soft drinks, and fairly loose machines. The Island View in Gulfport also had good promotions at that time.
Boomtown's buffet was closed for remodeling when we were there and we were not very lucky there.
I enjoyed the Hard Rock, was a little lucky there and they had good promotions.
I could not win at the Palace, but they did have Green Stamp machines.
Best thing you can do is to look up the various casinos websites and see what promotions they are offering when you are there. Hope this helps.

Re: biloxi casinos
Wildflower did not tell you two things about the Silver Slipper. It's pretty far west and remote but worth the trip. It has the best Buffet in Biloxi area.
The Hard Rock also has an outstanding lunch '/or dinner buffet. Pre Katrina the Palace & Beau Rivage had great food but that is not the case now.
A trip to the IP is always worth while and comps are pretty easy. Next time you ask for info tell what games you like and what level ($$$) you are comfortable playing. That will determine where to go for comps. Good luck!

Re: biloxi casinos
We did not visit the IP this year, but have enjoyed it in the past.
The Silver Slipper is quite a drive out west of Gulfport, but we found it worth the trip. We took the drive that went along the beach and as notherners, in January, we enjoyed the never-ending beach. It did take us quite a while to drive that way.
We ate at the Palace a few times because they were offering $10 free play with a buffet. The food wasn't bad, but definitely not as good as Hard Rock or the Silver Slipper.
Pre-Katrina, our favorite casino was the Grand. We did not like the 'new' buffet, very small and crowded and in the old parking garage. It was a disappointment in 2007 so we hadn't tried it in 2008.
We also spent time at the Isle of Capri (we go to Isle properties in the Mid-west and the points accumulate), but we were not lucky. They do have a nice non-smoking casino on the lower level and a fairly good buffet.
We did not like Treasure Bay. It's built in the old hotel with very low ceilings and on two floors. Guess we would like it better if we didn't lose our alloted money so fast.
We drove our small motor-home and visited properties that had secure parking for us. The Hard Rock let us park on the ground level of their parking garage, very close to the casino. Most of the other ones made us park quite a distance from the casinos.

Re: biloxi casinos
I just checked the Palace website and they still offer $10.00 free play with a buffet.
They offer $10.00 free play for joining their player's club, but will only give you one $10.00 free play per day.
So if you join the club and eat a buffet on the same day, you will only get $10.00, not $20.00 free play.

Thanks Punter. I been out of town the last week. Could you respond a little better--you've lost me with your wording. Could you clear up your post for me. As in--ASK WHO ? WHERE WILL I GO FOR COMPS ?

Re: biloxi casinos
Sorry for the delay here, I just got back from a casino trip to Broward County Florida. Talk about no comps, my wife was playing slots and ordered a bottle of water. The server charged her two dollars for it.
In an attempt to clear up my previous post this is what I meant: Do you play machines (VP or slots?) or table games, craps, roulette??
Are you a minimal dollar gambler or a high roller. Are you looking for a free buffet or RFB.(Room, food & beverages covered), or something in between?
