  • Gulfstream Casino in Hallandale, Florida

We went to BestBuy in Aventura and on the way home we went by Gulfstream and went in to take a look at the new slots room on the first floor. WOW, lots and lots of Vidio Poker machines. Had more fun playing these machines than ever before. Hit full houses many times, straights, flushes, hit four of a kind several times. Was a lot of fun. Totally different than the machines upstairs.

    I went there Friday night.

The problem is that the pay tables are just as bad as on the VP machines in the upstairs casino.

I did, however, see some Bally VP machines offering 9/5 Double Double Bonus, which was an improvement over the IGT Double Double Bonus machines which were 7/5.

      Re: Gulfstream Casino

Regardless of what the pay tables are set at, i had the best night at either Mardi Gras or Gulfstream i have had since they both opened. I never imagined that they would equal Las Vegas or AC. BUT maybe when the indians get class three slots(which is right around the corner) we might get better pay outs. Then again, i hear many stories as to how Las Vegas casinos are stacking the deck and machines against the people that helped them to the status they have acheived. Just look at the pay tables on the table games and i don't believe the slots pay out what they used to pay. Just my opinion.

Almost forgot. The pay tables are a hell of a lot better than the indians. They like to keep it all for themselves. How else could they afford to buy the Hard Rock chain for just shy of ONE BILLION DOLLARS !!! Also take a look at how much bucks the individual indian gets each and every month from the tribe rake of suckers that go to their wanna bee casinos.

            Re: Gulfstream Casino

The video poker tables have gotten better.

They have $1 9/5 Jacks or Better and $1 8/5 Bonus in triple play, five play and ten play.

Also, you don't have to bet five coins to get the 800-for-1 on a royal.

They pay 800-for-1 for each coin bet, rather than the usual 250.

This means that if you are a quarter jacks or better player, you would be better off playing one $1 coin, rather than five quarters. The quarter jacks is only 8/5.
