Someone sent me the following question and I'm not sure of the correct answer - "What are the rules for finding a voucher left in a slot machine by another player, or if you find one on the floor? i cant find any info on this."
I would assume that if you found a voucher on the floor it would be yours to keep, just like finding money on the floor?
However, if the voucher is still sitting in the machine, what would be the proper course of action?
Several months ago I sat down at a video poker machine that someone had just left and as I put my money into it I noticed that there was about $10 in credits still left on the machine.
I decided to note how much was left in credits and just go ahead and play the machine. If the person came back to the machine I would have given them back that money. However, after playing the machine for about 15 minutes no one ever came back and I left the casino.
That situation is slightly different than someone leaving an actual voucher in the machine. I would assume that there is a gaming reguation that might cover this issue, but I am not 100% sure.
